We very much enjoyed the first month of summer!
Our big one-year-old finally got two more teeth this month, bringing the grand total up to four. Alex also learned how to use a spoon to feed himself, and now insists on doing so at every meal. While this makes mealtimes a little more messy, he seems to really enjoy this newfound independence. Alex also expanded his vocabulary this month, adding the words bowl, bird, book, blue (which all sound remarkably similar to "ball," but we can tell a difference!), milk, and A (for Aidan). We continue to be amazed at what he seems to understand and at his attempts to communicate with us. Alex definitely knows what shaking his head "no" means! We are proceeding under the assumption that his allergy is melons, as he's been fine with milk but had a reaction to cantaloupe. We love watching Alex become more and more toddler-like with each passing day!
Aidan is still a wonderful big brother and it is so fun to see the boys interact and play with each other. Aidan's new favorite thing is "The Wiggles" and he loves to watch and listen to them whenever we allow it. He is quite the dancer and loves to sing as well. Aidan got his very own library card this month and enjoys taking trips to the library to check out books and CDs. Aidan always seems to be asking what words start with certain letters and he is an expert at telling us which letters make which sounds. He's also been very interested in time lately, constantly asking what time it is and telling us it's not time for bed.
Enjoy our pictures from June.
