December, 2008

The month of December was a very busy one! We enjoyed multiple Christmas celebrations with family and friends, and kept plenty busy during our two whole weeks off of school. Alex continued to grow before our eyes. He now eats both fruit and vegetables with his rice cereal and oatmeal, although convincing him to actually eat is sometimes a challenge. He always likes veggie puffs though and Aidan loves feeding them to him. Alex is a great sitter and loves to stand and bounce with help from Mom and Dad. He is starting to be more vocal and we love hearing his coos, giggles, and babble. Aidan is the ever-energetic two-year-old and still a wonderful big brother. He loves to sing (new songs this month included "Jingle Bells" and "Away in a Manger") and loves to help (shoveling, vacuuming, doing the dishes, and "babysitting" Alex are some favorites). At this time of year we are especially reminded how blessed we are to have two such happy, healthy young sons. They bring us so much joy and we love watching them learn, grow, and discover new things. We wish every week was Christmas break!
