What an eventful month March was! It's getting harder to think of Alex as a little baby, as he accomplished many milestones in his tenth month of life. His first two teeth finally broke through, and it wasn't nearly as traumatic (or dramatic!) as Aidan's teething experience, which we are all thankful for. Alex became a competent "stander" and will stand for several seconds at a time. He also took his first official steps on his own. He still loves taking laps around the coffee table and pushing his walker, and will sometimes venture a step or two on his own even without our encouragement. We know we'll be in trouble in a couple of months when both Alex and Aidan will be able to run from us! After several days of wondering, we also decided that Alex has learned his first official word, which we are happy to announce is "Ma." We also think he may have acquired a form of Aidan (pronounced "A-Da"), but it is brand new so we'll have to report more on that next month. Alex also discovered the stairs this month, and loves escaping from us and climbing up them whenever he gets the chance.
Aidan continues to grow and learn new things as well. A common phrase this month was "well, let's see" when asked a question in which he has to make a choice in order to answer. We are amazed at how well Aidan can remember the smallest details of a conversation and repeat them later on. Aidan continues to love reading books with us, and he can now recognize every letter of the alphabet. He is often able to connect sounds or words to letters, as well, like A is for Aidan, Alex, and apple.
We feel very fortunate to have two wonderful, loving, healthy little boys. Enjoy our pictures from March.
